How to make a denim choker in 5 minutes.

“You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was.”
Anthony St Marteen.

Lately, chokers have been the most trending fashion accessory. They are basically close-fitting necklace worn around the neck. Also, they can be made of a variety of materials, such as velvet, denim, beads, leather, and so on. These chokers can be plain or adorned with sequins, studs, or a pendant.

I love chokers a lot. They add this amazing flattering flavour to attires. The Denim Choker has this casual flare to it, which makes me fall in love with this choker anytime I see it. Kim Kardashian , Rihanna and others are one of the first people to make the denim choker a trend. The prices of the denim choker can be quite scary at times from $10-$22 , for a piece of cloth? That’s alot!

Because of the exorbitant price of the denim chokers, and you know we are all about affordable fashion, I decided to create a denim choker with less than zero money. (I had all the items at home.)

This is to showcase how I made my denim choker in less than 5 minutes.

Items Needed:

  • old denim shirt or short
  • razor and scissors.
  • a button
  • needle and thread
  • measuring tape

Directions:

  • measure out your neck with the tape, trace measurement on the selected denim piece
  • cut out with a scissors.
  • trace the piece around your neck and check the fit place for the button or hook as you desire.
  • sow in the button or hook, Voila! your choker is ready!
