My secret sins.

He who conceals his transgressions will not prosper, But he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion.   Proverbs 28:13.

Hello! Welcome back?. So some days back, I read this WhatsApp bc on secret sins and I was stunned. There are many believers in the world today, I mean true born again christians, some of us are struggling with one secret sin or the other. It could be pornography, masturbation, fornication, stealing, slandering, etc. I’m not here to judge anyone but to encourage christians. This is one important area that is largely overlooked by most preachers and churches.

You might struggle to live free of those sins that bring you back to square one with Jesus, don’t be discouraged. It’s a won battle. You might also not just count it as anything, remember Proverbs 28:13.

You might feel sad and blame yourself so much for going back to this sin, my love, do not fall for the vices of the enemy, you are nothing near perfect. Seek the face of Jesus and plead for the holyspirit to direct you!

Sometimes, the enemy might put thoughts of suicide in your head, just remember that the devil is only but a roaring lion seeking for whom to devour. Ignore him and feed on God’s promises.

The night is almost gone, and the day is near Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Romans 13:12.

Meditate on Psalm 1 and this little story, A man gave his son the keys to his car after he passed driving school, his son bashed the car on his way out, his father forgave him and repaired the car. The following week, he sent his son on another errand with his car, same old bashing, he repaired it again. This happened for weeks and he kept repairing it. So on glorious day, after some months, his son came pleading for the car and claimed that he is now a better driver. If you were the father, would you give him the keys?

It is very important to remember that our Christian life is not a new sin management program or probation. Christ has secured our forgiveness and forgiven us ALL TRESPASSES (Col 2:13), and the new life that He gave us is ours to live by faith. He is also not a probation officer, but a wonderful Savior and our new life is in Him.
